Editorial policy

This record summarises the Commission's published findings and the steps that followed, using the Commission's report, court judgments, the National Prosecuting Authority and reputable South African and international media.

• Every finding is attributed to the Commission and linked to its report. Findings are not convictions.
• People the Commission cleared or did not refer are recorded as clearly as those it referred.
• Where a person challenged a finding in court, the challenge and its outcome are recorded. Each person's public response is included where available.

Corrections

Send the judgment, charge sheet or official notice that shows the correct position to corrections@statecapturerecord.org. Corrections are free. We never accept payment to change, add or remove anything.

Privacy

We cover people only in relation to their official or business conduct examined by the Commission. No advertising trackers.
